4VS Select Speaker Cables
Our ultimate cable for transparency, low level detail, and
top end clarity. I've been using various Kimber options
in my audio systems for years, actually since the late 80s.
Ray Kimber made nice stuff and his 8TC speaker cable was excellent,
this alongside the 4TC for less ducats. The 4VS is more
cost effective, and comes in around 13 gauge total.
The 4VS utilizes four
conductors of Ultra-Pure Copper for the + lead and four on
the – lead, a total of eight conductors combining to
make a 13 gauge cable. The VS Series use gray and black conductors
in a polyethylene jacket.
Common to most all Kimber cables
is the company’s proprietary VariStrand™ braiding
technique and Ultra-Pure copper.
What is VariStrand™?
It's the specialized braiding technology developed by Kimber,
designed to reject hum and noise, resulting in greater background
silence. From a technical perspective, the unique VariStrand™
presents no coherent antenna pattern and thus rejects RF.
Magnetic poles are diffused due to the counter rotating and
intertwining positive and negative conductors.
ps- Yeah, I still listen
to vinyl. Yes, it's better than digital, musically speaking.
Yes, you can see one 4VS cable on ye olde VPI Turntable.
Even ole Michael love his turntable. A proper turntable
is a Swart Staple.
