MOD I Option - 3 Levels (lose most attenuated level)

This is a simple mod that will change the attenuation level at the 3o'clock setting on the Night Light, which as stock, is the most attenuated setting.
The settings at 12 and 2 will remain the same. It's the loudest volume that can be achieved with this circuit without doing a total redo.

You need a 2-3 inch teflon (or cloth) jacket copper wire to use as a jumper across the 270 ohm resistor. As stated, the 3pm setting will now be the loudest, or LEAST amount of attenuation. The "comp" bulb filament compression will not work at this setting, but the blue LEDs will light with input. The 2pm setting will be the new most attenuated setting (quietest), the 12 (which will keep filament comp ability) will be the new second highest attenuation. You'll have to remember the new configuration when looking for settings. So to restate, 12 on dial, second loudest and comp filament bulb will work. 2 will be your new QUIET setting, the most attenuated. It's stock. The CHANGE will be the 3oclock setting, which will be your loudest.

Again, more volume than your new 3pm setting cant be achieved without a major change in parts and design.

MOD II OPTION

This would be a great mod if you would like to retain the lower volume settings of the attenuator with the addition of MORE volume in the least attenuated mode.

In this case, there is a greater difference between the compression and non compression mode at the 12 O clock position.

To achieve this, you Jumper the 22 ohm resistor with a straight wire.  See arrows below.  This will set up the DE COMP mode to be the least attenuated.  When switching to COMP, you'll get more attenuation.  You're essentially getting four settings instead of three with this mod.
