ST-6V6se - a fully point to point wired, 100% tube circuit utilizing a Michael
Swart designed mod of the BEST of the 50s Fender Princeton 5F2 and 5F1 Champ.
Most modern tube amps go to cheaper, more harsh, metalic sounding solid state
rectifiers. Swart uses FULL TUBE RECTIFICATION for the best tone. Swart also
added extra power supply filtering for modern voltages utilizing a heavy duty,
surface mount JJ 500V 40-20-20-20 capacitor. In addition, only CARBON FILM
resistors are used in the signal path as metal composition resistors add unpleasant
overtones. The carbon films retain the good tone but dont drift like vintage
carbons. This amp simply smokes most commercial amplifiers that operate with
dollar signs first, tone and performance 2nd.
