Space Tone 6V6se - Mk1
Class A - Single-Ended - 6V6 - Tube Rectified

Visit some customer comments from the original version of the little beast that stormed the net, starting it all.    Swart Amplifier Co got some great feedback, both literally and figuratively, from a host of early First Edition ST-6V6se fans. We decided to throw a few of the more amusing ones up here.

"So they tell me I am the first of the fairer sex to lust after the Space Tone (and pardon the well-placed pun). Evidently, that calls for referential treatment (Do I have to add that they paid me to say this stuff?). I ride a Norton Commando, 1972 vintage, so I am used to style and performance. The Space Tone is filled with all that and more. Like a good British bike, it has performance with SOUL. Unlike the vintage Brit bike, it WORKS! My husband, who barely knows three chords (does that stop him? nope), can tune a Brit thumper with his eyes closed but does not like solder. My Space Tone is built with an eye on detail and a mind on quality. That is what you get with a custom piece of gear and this screams custom, whether at 2 or 11 (and yes, it DOES go to 11 - Mr. Swart gets it). Love and lust go hand in hand with my Space Tone. And so far, my husband isn't jealous...yet. He gets to play his allotted 45 minutes a day. It doesn't take much..."

"Ok, so I didn't believe it really. I'm a Fender amp man and a Gibson guitar lover - You couldn't pry my 65 SG away from my bloody fingers. Ditto for my Blackface Super Deluxe with tone bigger than Life itself. Well, I got tired of hearing my NC buddy blab on about his little amp that could. Stop blabbing and SEND IT HERE! I would be lying if I said the little tike made Papa Super Deluxe sleep... But damn if this isn't a screaming little banshee with that AlNiCo! In short, I WANTED ONE! I love this little amp as it's got loads of TONE, GRIT, and Character. With some vintage tube rollin', it's a late night blast to give my neighbors something to ponder. Funny, now they don't bang on the walls anymore! Are they Space Tone converts too? This aint going back!"

"Wow... The amp responds very nicely to playing dynamics (I could easily go from sweet and clean to a little hairy to nice and dirty brown by simply playing harder or softer), and the tone and volume controls on my axe seemed to be voiced better.

Man, I really had a blast putting this thing through it's paces tonight, and I originally didn't even notice how quiet the amp is.

I am seriously loving this amp right now.

"I personally know of no other amplifier that combines the excellent looks and vintage tone, all wrapped up in a 14 x 13 x 8 package featuring portability and handling ease... From the custom Supro inspired cabinet & chassis to the hand wired circuitry, this amp has few peers in the marketplace. I know this sounds like hype and typical prattle but I am REALLY impressed with this little amp. I play the beast every day religiously since it entered my home - I simply carry it to whatever room I'm in!"

"This little amplifier continues to amaze me mainly because there is just not much out there that sounds as good in this size package. Back when Eric Clapton was actually making good music, he loved the 50s Fender Champ, using it while with Derek and the Dominoes. This early tube rectified standout was well known for excellent tone. What makes the Space Tone 6V6se so amazing is I think it BETTERS the original 50s Champ, all in a unique package that stands apart from the regular commercial drones.

This is literally the coolest looking amp I have ever owned. I get compliments on it all the time. But more importantly, I play guitar more now than I have in years! The excitement is back!"
