Ok I have to let
you know how my first gig with the AST went last night.
I had been without
my Tom Anderson Cobra for the last few weeks waiting for a tone pot
from Anderson. I got it back Wednesday. I am also looking at buying
a friend of mines Hollow-T Classic. He let me take it for a test drive
at my gig last night before we finalize the deal.
It was like dying and
going to heaven. Some of my friends and fellow local musicians know
that I have a reputation as a hardcore tone freak and always want
to sound better and better. Last night they were all blown away. My
sound man is also a musician and he was amazed at the AST. Every guitar
you plug into it sounds the best it ever has.
I used the stock set up with the 6V6 tubes. I couldnt have hit it
out of the park any better. I set the volume just past ¾ and
rarely used my Exotic BB Pre-Amp pedal. Just using the natural overdrive
sound of the amp it was tonal nirvana. The Cobra roared like it should
and the Hollow-T had that great Tele snap when and where I needed
it.
Vintage gear is all well and good but I would challenge anyone, anywhere,
at any level to get the sound I had last night with Atomic Space Tone
my two Andersons and my customized “Shell Pink” 62 Fender
Strat reissue. We didn’t record last night’s gig but we
will in two weeks. I send you a sound sample and let you hear it.Thanks
for making such a great amp. I couldn’t peel the smile off my
face last night.
Got the Atomic
Boost Today! Couldn’t wait to get home and try it with my AST.
I thought “Good Lord” what has Michael done. Diminished
mydesire to work and increased my wants and needs to play. I’m
so looking forward to next weeks gig.
I will never have to worry about my tone
ever again. I am now a crusader for your stuff.
